If Maroon 5 is my favorite foreign group, then The Akafellas are definitely my favorite local group.
I was fortunate enough to watch their gig live last night at Red Door. I really, really enjoyed their performance. Especially their opening act. They started with the usual beatboxing of the guy I believe is the beatbox king of Asia, Mr. Myke Salomon. Naks. So there, the act started with beatboxing when suddenly, “ang bango bango, ang bango bango, ang bango bango ng bulaklak….” Funny talaga. It was evident that each audience member was all smiles.
The whole performance took about two whole hours, so sulit talaga ang 200 peso ticket per head. I watched the gig with my family by the way.
They were nice nga eh. Because when they were done, the audience shouted, “more, more!”. And without hesitation, they went back on stage willingly. Nice.
Kaso there was someone missing in the group. Reuben was sick. Kawawa naman. Siguro for the first hour he was only seated, closing his eyes almost all throughout his whole performance time. He was in a jacket, his hands in his pockets the whole time. He was singing, obviously having a hard time. Na-touch naman ako because his groupmates were serving him water and looking out for him making sure he was comfortable. Sweet.
Anyway, when it was all over, and they were lounging already in the “performer’s room”, I decided to get their autograph and picture. Of course, I was equipped with a pentel pen, digicam, and their album, being the fan that I am. Luckily, my tita is one of the major owners of the bar. Ergo, we get special treatment.
Sayang, in the CD and picture, only 6 out of the 8 Akafellas were the only ones there. Of course, Reuben could not write nor stand up due to his sickness at the moment. So exempted. Also, DJ Myke was not in the picture and I didn’t get his autograph because he was in the washroom at that time. Sayang, crush ko pa naman si DJ Myke and Reuben out of the Akafellas. Just my luck. Arrrrgggghhhh!!
But out of all the Akafellas, the friendliest and the most welcoming is Robi. He’s nice. After he asked my name, he asked if I was from ICA. He must have thought I was Chinese. He was nice because he was the one who got the group together for the autograph and pic. Even though they were tired, Robi was like, “Guys, picture daw oh…” or “Guys, sign the CD…” Wow.
I remember in MySpace, friend ko yung Akafellas. And out of the blue, without me messaging them, Robi messaged me. He said, “Your picture never fails to put a smile on my face, whether it be in Friendster or MySpace. Somehow it just stands out. Take care Inna.—AkaRobi
Astig noh?
**For my friends in Friendster/ MySpace, gets niyo na siguro kung bakit standout ang pic ko. Ü
**To those who willingly read this whole entry, salamat sa tiyaga and interest. Comment na rin kayo para sulit.

it was okay.. the movie DID miss a lot of parts mentioned in the book.. that was why it seemed short to me.. but if i were to rate it out of 5, i'd give the movie a 3..
the cast also matured a lot.. like neville longbottom, who i didn't recognize at all until i saw that he was a guy who was often nervous. draco, i didnt like the new hair. crabbe and goyle somewhat became thinner. hermoine became prettier in my opinion. ron continues to mature. the same with harry.
i dont know, i guess you got to watch it for yourself.. gotta split! Ü

their showcase "side show" was a huge success.. im serious when i say this, their performance is at par with the performance of professionals. it was really great! i now officially a fan!
im especially fond of the performances franco mabanta and the four girls who played the role of daisy and violet. astig talaga. they were super amazing. there were even parts when the characters shared a real kiss. almost looked like a french kiss. looked so real. no fear.
congrats to pauline, lawrence, and erika.. congrats to the whole class na rin.. i loved it. ÜÜÜ

i was the first one there. i arrived at 10 am.. gowsh! sooooo early! while it was only me and karen, we watched the start of a movie that starred anne hathaway.. i forgot the title, but it had ella in it.. anyway, we found it boring, so we then watched new york minute. it was a fun movie. karen and i were raving about simple plan. she likes pierre, and i like the drummer. Ü
after, we watched the prince and me but didnt finish it. then kaye arrived. then after, tippy and tala. then lap. we watched you got served, and again, didnt finish it. so we decided to watch 13 going on 30.. we all loved it. it was sooooooo sweet. especially THRILLER!! hahahaha.. the best. and the macho dance from her boyfriend. aaahhh.. hahahahaha.. after, we barely watched an episode of friends, then kaye had to leave.
then we watched 50 first dates, then a walk to remember.. i went home after that. sarap mag-movie marathon while pigging out on yellow cab pizza, kfc fried chicken, junk food, then a little dessert called ice cream. yum. Ü
karen, tippy, tala, lap, and kaye, it was great spending my day with you guys. i sure did miss you. i hope we do it again sometime. Ü

i realized, it's was just the fifth day of school a while ago, but it seems sooooo much longer!! i feel like i've been in school since before pa! then, to my dismay, we've got 9 more months to go! 9 more months of everyday draining of energy!
arrrggghhh! then to add to that, tomorrow, i gotta wake up early at about 6 am and go to st.francis since i have to do my parish involvement from i think 7-10.. then most likely, at 11, i've got training pa.. this is the only time it hit me, having training during school will really lessen my rest time! haay.. im freakin tired! no other way to describe it!
enlighten me, please.

some sam members are going to present at tomorrow's freshmen day. thankfully, i got a part naman. we were grouped into clusters of the different clubs. we are gonna act out something about the different clubs the freshmen could enter.
so there's sports, civic, performing arts, spiritual and academic. guess where i'm a part of? hahahhahaahahah!
sa spiritual! would you believe? my groupmates are bop, julie, and elo.. they said ako lang daw bagay sa spiritual.. may i ask why? hehe..
what's funny pa, is when we went through a dry run a while ago, jec, ate mon, and ate marianne who are part of the performing arts cluster, started breakdancing like crazy!! hahahahaha! super funny! basta you guys gotta see it tomorrow! you're gonna die laughing! hehe. Ü

a while ago, we performed for the freshmen for the "club fair". it wasnt like i thought it would be. coz during the dry run, the sam members were all dying with laughter with the performing arts cluster. but i guess they had to hold back considering sister was there. come presentation time, it wasnt really a hit. but none the less, it's really okay, coz i had loads of fun!
sam auditions are on saturday already! please pray for me!
but just in case, i also signed up for SAMpilÜ, catecethical (hi lia!), and peace club (hi pam!).. haha. Ü
btw, a big happy birthday shout out to my good friend tracy! i miss yah, buddy!

Last Saturday, SAM held auditions for aspirants and for some old members. And it was a blast! I was able to see that behind all our fears and tensions during club time, there are people who are like us, who also just wanna laugh out loud and get happy all the time.
I was even able to bond with some clubmates of mine who are in the higher batches. Here includes basco, fatzi, jellica, georm, and of course my other batchmates whom I’ve gotten to know better.
So here comes another fun part. Old members’ audition was much easier than the aspirants’. We were given a piece of bond paper where we had to convince Ms. Claustro and convince the core members of SAM that we are still worthy to be part of the club (I hope I am). We could draw, write an essay, fold the paper, anything! So we really had to put out our creative talents.
When we were done, we helped out in the aspirants’ audition. During the “bubble gum” exercise, it was really a challenge for us because we had to repeat everything jec is saying so that each aspirant would know what to do. And considering everyone was shouting, it was really, really hard. An added task for me, is I had to translate all the instructions to this British girl, who is my batchmate by the way. There was even this part when the narration was like, “….tapos, biglang may narinig kang kumakanta ng: ikaw ang aking tanging yaman…” (of course, this meant they were already dead) … darn it! I didn’t know how to translate it! So I sang, “pray for the dead and the dead will pray for you….” Hahahahahaha! Basta, it was really quite hard. Labo.
Then, for the final part of the auditions, it was of course, the tasks. It was even unfair, coz during our auditions last year, we had to go through five, and the aspirants now only needed to go through 3.. haay. Anyway, I told jellica and abby to include me in some of their tasks.. and it was nice having the power to permit them to get the signature or not.. haha, sweet revenge!
The first girl who came up to me was convincing me that I was her mother, a task given by abby.. then I was like, wtf? Do I look like a mom? it really took so long.. i was walking around with her trailing after me..what can i say? im mean.. then i told her to shout "i love you piolo" three times as loud as she could in the pre-school quadrangle, before i say yes.
after, two girls went up to me and "courted" me, a task given by jellica.. this also took really long.. i loved hearing they would give me anything.. then i even told this one girl to shout "i love you inna" three times also, really loud. the other one was like, "buti nga, nililigawan pa kita eh, wala nang gagawa na iba sayo nito no!" then i was like, "what, you're insulting me now?!" then she answred in a i-think-i-shouldn't-have-said-that kinda tone, "ay, hindi.."
after, this one girl went up to me and asked for the pendant in my necklace.. i was like, "no way!".. then after about 2 mins pa lang, she started crying.. it took about another three-five mins before i actually gave in..
then the last, another girl started "courting" me again. haha! mahirap talaga pag sikat! hahahaha! joke! then, this one with the help of elo, and alysa, took reeeaaaallly long. i even told her to sing aloud three sarah geronimo songs, then i gave her the permission..
so there, a hectic and tiring day. but i would never trade this day for anything. it's priceless. Ü

my mom dragged me to the parlor yesterday, and told me to tell the girl to cut it short. for me, i consider it really short.
but i dont know, i like it better. less mess, no need for ponytails (coz even a small one isnt possible), whatsoever.
people who see me have different opinions about my new do.. some say it looks better, others liked my long hair more. well, i guess what matters is my opinion. Ü

right now, honestly, i don't know what to say. I'm sad and depressed, because there's a possiblility of me not passing SAM. Darn, this is serious. Bad trip, i wasnt able to try out/audition in any other club!! now im freaking out!
haay. I feel tears in my eyes right about now (w/c is different coz i dont usually cry). The "judges" told me they were not really impressed with the thing i did on the bond paper. When i heard this, I WAS CRUSHED. Why? I put all my heart and effort into that piece of paper only to find out that it wasnt that good! ouch. I'll just write again when i feel less depressed. I cant take this. aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!
