    i miss titser bobbie.
Posted by inna at 12:12 PM as a favorite post

a while ago, during english time, we were asked to make our own anecdotes about people we really admire. and guess what? somehow, i thought of something to write about right away. cool. check this out.

my anecdote went something like this:

Once, I was really stressed because of all the school work we were having. I was really problematic because projects were due all at the same date. My teacher (teacher bobbie) noticed, and said, "There are two kinds of problems: those with solutions and those without solutions. If a problem has a solution, then it isn't a problem anymore. If a problem doesn't have a solution, then why do you have to worry about it?"

She actually said it in tagalog, but i had to translate it for english. It makes so much more impact in filipino: "Ang problema, may dalawang klase: yung may solusyon, at yung walang solusyon. Kung may solution yung problema, e di hindi na sha problema. Kung walang solusyon, bakit mo pa proproblemahin?"

Things actually makes sense when teacher bobbie says them. She somehow puts everything into perspective. I wish i had that gift.

I miss you, titser bobbie! Advanced Happy Birthday!

Grabe! “Araw ng wika” was a blast!! I can’t even explain the hangover..

So the day started with the flag ceremony. Mm-hmm. SAM performed the usual tableau. *ahem* asenso na ako, I don’t just hold the flag now. Ü Val, Denden, and I spoke a dialect in Bikolano before the song itself. Our role was okay. We even wore Filipiñana. Wow, big time. Hehe. Yeah, right.

Anyway, after, it was the speech of sister, bladie, blah, then the tagis talino (go basilio! Go PJ!), then the dance performance of selected first year and second year students (woah!)..
Following those events, was the presentation of the third year, which was Florante at Laura. I liked it. That’s all I can say. Musical kase eh. Galing pala kumanta ni Jellica. Astig.

    **Recess**

After break time, was the presentation of Dance troupe (modern). Their performances never fail to leave me in awe. They make such good productions. The Sophies of dance troupe were really good. Galing eh, may stunts pa. Also the juniors astig din sila, nice pa yung costume.

After, was the presentation of Noli Me Tangere by the fourth year. Instead of being serious, it became a comedy production. Funny eh. It was also a musical, but the difference is, they changed the words in modern OPM songs. Like in the song of PNE, “chikinini”, they changed the words to, “natatawa ako, hihihihi..” nice one.

    **Lunch Break**

Then came the fashion show of SamPil and PRU (go aggie!). ‘Twas ok. Quite long, but still ok.

Then came my favorite part: Laro ng Lahi!!!

First event was the “monggo relay”. The freshmen won. Nawalan kasi sila ng kalaban eh. Blah.

Next event was “Pamamalengke ni Maria(?)”. Sophies only won second place. First place were the seniors. Not bad.

Third, was “Pandanggo sa dyaryo” or the newspaper dance. Freshmen were out first. Haha. But Sophies didn’t win either, because there was a heel out of the newspaper daw. Yeah, right. Arrgghh.

Fourth game, was my event: Tug of war!! Oh yeah!!
Mark my words: KAWAWA ANG SOPHIES!
Our players were really small/thin, compared to the others, coz not a lot of the “big people” wanted to join. The first game was freshmen VS sophies pa naman. Eh the freshies were so big. I mean they were HUGE. Tipong dalawang players namin, isa lang yun sa kanila.

Excited pa naman yung sophies as we took our places, nang biglang pagbaba ng freshies, we were like, “shit! P***** I**!! Ang lalaki nila!!” “Nag-ssteriods ba mga yan?!” Ganun ka grabe. We were scared.

Ang sophies naman, knowing their pagka-pilyo, started shouting, “SEXY!!! SEXY!!!” (Referring to the sophomore players of course), kasi our figures were waaaaaaaaaaaaayyy better than the freshies naman noh. No arguement needed.

When the game started, our audience weren’t even able to cheer “Sophies!” thrice, talo na kaagad kami. They (freshmen) were dragging us all the way. LITERALLY. We were like, “Pull!” (pero sabay kinakaladkad naman kami paharap). It was a funny sight, really.
Tapos si Sir Velarde, instead of encouraging the batch he teaches, he was laughing at us ba naman, coz he saw that we didn’t even stand a chance! We were pulled all the way! Gggrrrrr!

Haha. Blooper of the sophies: Hila parin ng hila ng rope, then we saw we were making progress. The rope was actually going our way! Tuwang-tuwa naman kami. Tapos yun pala, naka-bitaw na pala yung freshmen. Panalo na sila. Laugh trip!

But I love my batchmates! After we lost, they were still like, “SEXY PARIN! SEXY PARIN!”, instead of shouting “Sophies! Sophies!”. Saya talaga.

Juniors lost against the seniors during their game. So it was Seniors VS the freshmen during the last match. Naturally, the seniors won (Go seniors!).

Anyway, the last event was the ever popular “agawan panyo”. Sophies won second place! Like last year. Haha.

First match was freshmen VS sophies, and of course, we won. The freshies don’t know how to play the game kasi eh. Like when Noble was already holding the hankie for a long time, the freshie wasn’t even in her right mind to tag Noble. Duh. In effect, Noble was taunting her, saying, “Ano, ano? Laban ka? Kunin mo na!” haha.

Next match, Seniors VS Juniors. Seniors won. So the sophies had to play against the seniors, reminiscent of last year’s final match in agawan panyo, where their batch also emerged as the winner. Second place din kami dun. Sayang, we lost against them yet again, but it was a close fight. The score was 3-2. aaaaaaaahhhh! Oh well. As Mj always puts it, “that’s life”.

*********aaaaaaaarrrrggghhh! Ateneo lost against UP! Kasi naman, they keep giving up useless fouls, eh they know naman they’re in penalty! They sent UP to the free throw line loads of times tuloy! Saying ang points! Ateneo’s record is 9-3 tuloy. Kainis.

yesterday was my birthday. plus, our retreat.
Posted by inna at 09:36 AM as a favorite post

okay. obviously, i wasnt able to blog yesterday. i was not at home last night. i was at school.. wasnt so bad after all..

so when i first got to school yesterday, people greeted my happy bday in a "not so energetic manner". everyone would greet me (except for antonette who forgot! ü), but with just a simple "happy birthday" with not much enthusiasm. and because of that, i was quite sad.

so on to the first subject, which was CL. sir joel prepared an activity as an introduction to our retreat. tears were shed, relationships were formed, and bonds became stronger. saya. ü when i was talking pa in front of the class, i couldnt speak properly coz i was crying (that's very rare!).. and at the end, they sang happy birthday to me, with me in the middle of the circle, then i blew the candle! yey!

then english (no teacher), then bio.. blah, blah..

after lunch, we proceeded to the retreat house already.. we settled and stuff, blah, blah.. some activities.. then dinner! CARBO CUP family was formed.. nikki, janine, lap, sev, anne, jillian, nappy, jo, and i were the members. lap was the dad. nappy was the mom. nikki was the kuya. anne was the ate, i was the youngest. hehe.

then activities and stuff again.. blah, blah...

then came one of my favorite parts, the giving of "thank you", "sorry", and "i love you" candles.. crying time! aaaahhh.

after we were almost done, my classmates went to mrs.ram (at the back of the room) with all the candles hoping to say sorry. so sunod naman ako. i was at all my classmates' backs. then after a while, they all faced me, with all their candles and letters and the "cake"!!! i was sooooooo touched! they sang happy birthday again then i blew all their candles, which i think were more than 10!! ü sweet!

they also gave this big poster of all their letters written on size one papers, MADE BY LAP!! aaaaawwwwwwwww, lap i looooovvvvvvveee you!! special mention din kay sev, janine, anne, nikki, val, nappy, jilllian, jo, at sa lahat lahat lahat!!

i was actually sad kasi akala ko, people didnt care much that it was my birthday!! but they had this wonderful, wonderful surprise!! i love all the T'SIKS!!

sad part is, at the night, pinagalitan kami ng sobra kasi "we were noisy" daw. gggrrrrr.. hindi naman.

the next day, today, was so-so, but nonetheless fun. astig yung priest, he comes from burma, and he's really really interesting. astig talaga sha! go father david! love the accent!

**sorry kung hindi kayo maka-relate! cant organize my thoughts eh!!

yesterday, crystal, anriz, val, sherrie and i watched the admu-feu game live. elo was supposed to go, but she was sick. =(

we even got there really early, in effect, were able to watch all three games.

ateneo and ust lost, but we all had fun anyway! i got the autographs of yuri escueta (he smells really good!), magnum membrere (nice!), macky escalona (somewhat masungit), badjie del rosario (approachable!), and would you believe, christian luanzon (he was really really friendly and approachable! he was even always smiling! and he was soooo tall!)??

going home, we even took the mrt! great experience!

but before my family officially went home, we watched DODGEBALL!! laugh trip!!

    enjoyable day yesterday! ü

a while ago, we celebrated my birthday in my dad's side of the family. eh weird yung family ko. we have this new tradition of saying birthday wishes for the celebrant. e sakto, birthday ko..

i was most touched with the "message" of kuya.. sabi niya: "I KNOW WE FIGHT A LOT, BUT I WANT YOU TO KNOW, I DONT THINK YOURE THE WORST SISTER IN THE WORLD."

    simple, but very meaningful. ü

naiiyak na ko nun, but i dont want to show my family my emotions, especially when i'm crying.

= Ateneo lost to la salle by 13 freakin’ points!

= Now, lasalle has a twice to beat advantage on Sunday.

= For the first time this season, Ateneo lost games back to back.

= For the first time, I actually cried for Ateneo. I cried because of pity, of fear and of sympathy.

= I sympathize with jc intal. I could see in his face that he feels helpless. When he got fouled out, I swear I saw him cry. He was wiping his tears, of course.

= I saw magnum membrere limping at the latter part of the game. I hope he’s all right.

= I could see that larry was and is really sad that he couldn’t play. I see how he worries about his team. nakakaawa.

= The team’s frustration was obviously seen. But still, I admire their effort.

= I found the Ateneo blue babble battalion cute. Especially the kids cheering.

= I got irritated with the la salle pep squad with the “we-just-know-we’re-gonna-beat-you-so-be-scared” look/effect after their cheer while looking at the Ateneo side. Frankly, ANG YABANG.

= So goes as with yeo, with the pointing at the Ateneo side when he scores. So not necessary. Rub it in, if you will. Again, a display of arrogance.

= The saddest part is, I JUST KNEW ATENEO WOULD LOSE.

= Despite what I have stated above, I STILL BELIEVE!

= and if all else fails, GO FEU!

    plain tired. random thoughts.
Posted by inna at 03:21 PM

    1. ever since the start of september, we've been buried in school work. tired doesn't even grasp how i truly feel right now. maybe 'fatigued'? yeah, right.
eh ikaw, hindi ka ba pagod sa araw-araw na dinadanas mo sa buhay? kung hindi, i'd pay to have a life like yours.

    2. my social life is starting to decline. does it scare me? hell yes.

    3. i'm starting to fail in majority of the quizzes we take. really. i don't know why, actually.. yeah, i study, but do i take it seriously? i don't think so. scary, mehn.

    4. i luuuuuuuuuuvvv kaye for the 'late birthday message' she gave me a while ago. it's nice to feel appreciated. it's nice to know there are people who believe in you. ü bida na dun si God! luv yah, Lord!

    5. i thank people who give comic relief into my life. it really helps.. the fact that they put a smile on my face at least once a day, is very much appreciated. like simple hirits of lap. janine being forever 'lost'. mj's 'labo-ness'. stuff like that. great. oh yess.

    6. happy birthday teaher bob! miss you!

    7. went blog hopping a while ago, and i learned that marilyn monroe had 6 toes in one foot (scary!), adolf hitler's mom was seriously thinking of going through abortion but her doctor talked her out of it, dogs really do die if they eat chocolates, and it is impossible to sneeze with your eyes open.

    weird entry? thought so too.

    today was.....different.
Posted by inna at 09:06 AM as a favorite post

thursday is club day! i had fun, coz basically, we just bummed around, after the 'picture taking' of course..

see, PRU had this task called "jamming session", wherein PRU members would go to the different clubs, and answer all questions presented to them by the club. they have to do it with confidence and the like. from there, they would be graded.

again, i bow down to nava's hirits and humor. laugh trip!

so here are some of my favorite occurences and quotable quotes ("kwowt" daw, sabi ni sir?!):

    1. PRU in question: a junior
question asked: "If you were a cactus, then why?"

    2. PRU in question: a sophomore (aggie! you did really really well!)aggie goes, "my name is aggie romero from ii-8. sorry if my voice sounds like this, i'm sick."
nava goes, "okay, since you're sick, i'll make the question easy.. PERFORM A MIRACLE. (wah?)

    3. PRU in question: a freshman
question asked: "if you were to die tomorrow, why not today?"

    laugh trip sa pagka-labo!

    yesterday was sooooo tiring!!
Posted by inna at 02:25 AM as a favorite post

Hhaaayyy.. I’m sooooooooo tired. I feel like I’ve been everywhere yesterday!

I woke up at 6 am coz we were going to have our outreach, and our car was going to be used as one of the means of transportation. The cars of the t’siks were sooooo astig! Parang may motorcade. Everyone was staring at the long line of cars. Feeling artista naman kami..

It was fun at tahanang walang hagdan. Everyone was soooo nice and welcoming! Nakakaawa yung iba, which always reminds me that WE ARE SO LUCKY despite all the problems we encounter.

Anyway, when we went back to st.paul, the t’siks had a little salu-salo. Sarap ng food! Especially the pizza! Thanks, tiff!

Went to eastwood after, and celebrated our joint party (aset’s, mars’s, teacher bob’s, iza’s?, and mine).. only a few unocho people were able to come. How sad, but nonetheless fun! Teacher bobbie is soooooo thin!! Parang ang bilis nga ng oras eh. Felt like the party was only 30 mins. Our mascot was grimace, by the way! Ginawa pa ni Karen si grimace na moshpit. Kawawa naman.

After the party, mars, aset, aggie, Karen, cheska, antonette, tala, tippy, gebs, and I, watched feng shui. Most of them found it scary. I didn’t. I actually found it hilarious! Of course, there would be times that I would get surprised, but never really “scared”. The same goes with gebs. She felt the same way. Karen, on the other hand, spent most of her time looking for her lost earring. Haha. Hassle!

We also bought nga pala shades from people are people! They’re soooooo cool! Especially Karen’s and cheska’s. Very vintage.

After the movie, we hitched a ride with antonette going to shang. Loved the discussions in the van. Ton’s dad was über cool! But before we left eastwood, we were able to see the akafellas perform!! They were singing the jingle of Heinz. Mega L.S.S.!! We actually thought it was recorded. But nooooooooooo! We saw them performing! Reuben is soooooooooooo hooooott! Kamukha pa ni dj myke si sir Velarde. Huwaw.

At shang, we took a studio pic, walked around for a while, then bonded a little. After, the others went home, while the others stayed to watch ‘ntwine perform. I was able to watch them for a VERY SHORT TIME. Hindi pa nga kalahati ng first song, umalis nako. But still, at least I saw Jason! Yihee!

Thank you, Lord for yesterday. Indeed, it was a memorable one. Sana po palaging ganito. I hope I always have fun experiences, but still I learn something that will sure be of help to me in the future. ü

    Hello starshine!

    fraustrations of season 67..
Posted by inna at 01:44 PM as a favorite post

As my kuya put it, "They deserved to lose". Okay, I guess it's too harsh, but frankly, i had the same sentiments. That was for their final game that is.. For the first time, I actually wanted to turn off the tv. Why? Nahihiya na ako nun para sa Ateneo.

It is just now that I realized, I should actually be proud of the team.

It hurts of course, seeing that the team you've been supporting from the start has failed you. It hurts, that after sweeping the first round, Ateneo plays lousy and heads for a sudden death. But most of all, it hurts that you can't help but admit that La Salle isa good team.

I just know, that if Larry would've been there, Ateneo would have done better. In my opinion, a big part of why Cardona's game has improved is because Larry wasn't there. But hey, I can't question God's will and reasons.

Despite their loss, I'm still soooooooo proud of Ateneo. Indeed, they did well this season. Despite being a rookie coach, Coach Sandy still proved others that he can be at par with veteran coaches.

    Highlight of watching the game:
Mommy (who is a La Salle alumni): Sino yung kalbong yan?
    Kuya: Si Cardona.
    Mommy: Ang panget!
--That little conversation made me smile despite the score. Oh yeah.

    Players I salute:
    - Intal: I just know this guy's gonna make it big in the future. Idol!
    - Tenorio: Pare, you never fail to amaze me.
    - Bugia: What happened to you?? Oh well, I still admire your efforts.
    - Membrere: I always liked this guy from the start.
    - Kramer: Dude, you proved me wrong. You actually are good.
    - Aguilar: Loved the moves, pare! They were awesome!
    - Fonacier: Need I say more?
    - Tiu: Ito lang. ANG CUTE MO.

Right now, i guess i should just support the juniors! yeah, baby! pasok sila sa finals!

    Anyway, congrats to La Salle.

Overall, I leave you with my final statement, with a matching "angas" face: GO FEU!!! GO BEAT LA SALLE!

I ACTUALLY FEEL BETTER NOW. YEY.

** FORGIVE ME FOR MY USUAL RANTINGS ABOUT THE UAAP. SORRY, I'M A FAN. OBVIOUS BA? **

my hands hurt because: i've been clapping like there's no tomorrow a while ago, during the homeroom activity.

my arms hurt because: my slave/garbage can, mj squashed and twisted them as if they were non-living things. ouch. it even left a mark. i think i even cried in pain.

my legs hurt because: i really don't know why, actually. they just do.

and if that isn't so bad already, i'm gonna play a lead role in the greek play! noble's gonna be in her retreat kasi eh! aaaarrrggghhh! friggin tagalog lines! sooooo hard to memorize! i get all bulol!

how am i to pass track if i am waaaaayyy over-weight right now to pursue it?
how am i to even try-out for track on friday if my thighs are screaming bloody murder?
how am i to take the greek play seriously, kung natatawa naman ako sa mukha ng ka-"scene" ko?

    Another list, yet again.

Random thoughts of a disorganized mind:

    1. English presentation on Ramayana is due on Monday, and we’ve got nothing so far. I soooooo don’t like English this year. It’s freakin’ hard.

    2. Documented Essays for English due on Thursday. Again, I sooooo don’t like English this year.

    3. Journalism final paper due on Tuesday. Might be part of the final exams. Crap. I’m no writer.

    4. Reflection for C.L. due on Tuesday. =( Come back, Sir David!

    5. Our current lesson in Math, radicals, is driving me nucking futs.

    6. Bio is getting harder by the minute. I’ve been failing my quizzes one by one, plus, I don’t understand even a word that comes out from the mouth of our teacher. I understand everything up to polymers. Any lesson passing that is completely gibberish.

    7. “Saved” is a movie that simply sucks. Majorly pathetic.

    8. I’m am Batman in our “Liga ng Katarungan.”

    9. My body freakin’ hurts. Try-outs for track last Friday, Training for kickboxing yesterday morning, and then family day in the afternoon. I’m waaaaaaaaaaayyyyy beyond the usual “dead tired”.

    10. I’ve got a mini sprain on my right foot. I’ve been limping like crazy.

    11. I’m sure I’m gonna get lower grades this quarter. I really wanna cry right about now.

    12. My sandal broke last night at Power Plant. Embarrassing. I tried dragging my sandal, holding on to my mom, pretending I had a sprained ankle. But to no avail. I got pissed off by the time we were wasting. So I picked up my sandal, and ran through the mall, looking ever so poor, considering I only had one sandal on. Good thing we were on the way home already.

    13. Exams are next, next week already. I don’t think I have enough time to redeem myself. Help me!

    14. I wish I passed the track team.

    15. Why can't I stop procrastinating??

    16. It's a time to make a change.

    17. Lord, please, please help me in everything I’m going through these days. I know You’ll never let me down, coz You’re simply THE BEST.

    it's nice to have friends.
Posted by inna at 09:39 AM

i've been blog hopping a while a go and i suddenly realized, ANG SARAP TALAGA PAG ANDYAN MGA KAIBIGAN MO.

okay, we should put our family first, pero iba parin yung mga kaibigan. you've missed more than half of your life if you don't get to see how special they are.

the same goes with the big Guy up there. Ang saya mabuhay if you have a purpose, which is definitely HIM. He loves us soooooooooo much. Pero tayo, do we show we love Him ?

the fact that there is a possibility that about six of my friends are migrating really scares me. i fear being alone. sana forever na lang sama-sama.

question is, in the real world, can that ever be true??

bio was the highlight of today.
Posted by inna at 02:26 PM

    > we had an experiment in bio. one member of each group had to be pricked once to get about three whole drops of blood. but for me, it was the other way around. i was pricked thrice!!! my blood wouldn't freakin' go out! in one finger, there was just about one-fourth of a drop. in the other and in the last, i could just produce just a half of a drop! what's with that?? nikki's blood was flowing out like crazy. para talagang ketchup. ang dami. and now, i can't answer anything in the activity sheet, coz my teacher doesn't freaking know how to go about the lessons!!

    > we have to revise again our journ paper!! and it's due by friday!! i can't get anything right!

    > i was soooooo sleepy during the math quiz that i think i failed.. again.

    > sir david was back for CL!! yey! he gave us an easy quiz.. but unfortunately, he might not be with us on thursday again! noooooooooo! ayoko kay sir ****!!

stuff due: (got the idea from sherrie)

    - filipino sulatin
    - quiz in music (haven't studied yet!)
    - journ news
    - journ civic news
    - bio lab activity sheet
    - english long quiz on friday
    - computer documentation
    - field demo practice

    **then.. the dreaded exams!!**

    i'm starting to hate journ.

here you are, convincing yourself you've got a pretty good acticle.
you stay up very late at night just to perfect it.
you've already printed it as if it were soooo precious.

    then what happens??
    we wont even pass it!
    aaaaarrrggghhhh! it's sooooo crushing!
i guess it would be okay not to accept it first, considering it's not in its best form.
but i expect him to at least run by it.
    tell us what to do!
    help us make it better!

    hey, i'm no writer!
and we're expected to come up with the final news by friday??
    it's so darn hard!
    not to mention completely FRAUSTRATING.

**looking back, i might regret posting this, but right now, this is how i feel. to those who might be offended, just as well affected, SORRY.
