Entries for July, 2005

Sheer vanity moments, all you can eat dinner, singing camp caprice, performing group dances, magically pairing up couples, semi-hosting the event, eating m&m’s, secretly wishing the band would stop singing, watching batchmates sing, losing our voices, laughing out loud, poking one another, hugging each other tightly, teasing MJ, scrutinizing Abby’s hopeful…
Oh my, one night’s not enough. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNE! I sure had fun.

A while ago, Mom, Gela, Kuya and I started talking about superheroes.
I mentioned that I found it weird that there were some people who chose to create heroes that are half man and half animal/insect. But mom got me thinking…
Mom: Do you think if no one ever thought of Spiderman, you wouldn’t find choosing a spider weird? If you think about it, why a spider, right? Or why a bat?
Inna: Oo nga no..
It also got me thinking, there are quite a number of superheroes with “-man” at the end. There’s Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Aquaman, Wonder woMAN… wait, I can’t think of any more.
Anyway, we suddenly wondered, what if there were other superheroes with strange names? Would their powers have to comply with the unusual names they have?
Take for example, if there was someone called KOALAMAN, what would be his power? Would he have the ability of being cute?
Or let’s take IGUANAMAN. Or BEARMAN. Or TURTLEMAN. Or SNAILMAN. Or UNICORNMAN. Or SEAHORSEMAN. Or Kuya and Gela’s personal favorite, DOGMAN (I don’t know why they found that amusing).
Whoa. I’m think I'm good with Batman and Spiderman.

The simplest things make me happy.
A box of Hello Panda for example, can make my day. Even just drinking Chuckie is my pick-me-upper. Eating lunch with the tsiks instantly makes me hyper. I love how I can get 5 pieces of Stick-o for only five pesos.
Picture this. A while ago, while having lunch with the tsiks, I put my pack of Stick-o's on my lap because I had to reach for something on the table. Imagine my surprise when the next thing I know, my Stick-o's are on the floor! Because of my carelessness, they fell! What was worse, I couldn't buy another pack 'coz UBOS NA!
OO, MABABAW NA, BUT I WAS CLOSE TO TEARS. ASK THEM. I WAS.
LIFE IS UNFAIR.

Of all the things I could be allergic to, it just has to be dust.
Why, why, why?
A while ago, during Music time, I was literally almost in tears. I had rashes all over my body, and they hurt! What made it worse, I couldn't go to the clinic right away 'coz we had to do the soundscape.
When we were done, I dashed to the clinic, and they gave me this little pink tablet for anti-allergies.
Damn, it took so long to take effect! But when it finally did, I got really really sleepy. I was strugling just to keep my eyes open. Eh tamang-tama, Geom summative test nun. I wish I still get a decent grade.
Hmm. Buti nalang Holistic Friday. Haha. Pauso talaga ng St. Paul.
I'm dyyyyyyying.
